Last night, I came upon Denis de Rougemont’s book ‘The Myths of Love’ written in 1963. I was shocked to see that Denis had written a chapter on ‘Lolita’ that was written in 1955. Rougemont is a founding father of the European Union that is under attack by Steve Bannon and Breitbart. Rougemont fled to America so he would not be murdered by Hitler. He befriended famous artists who had fled to New York also. Rougemont dedicated his life to restoring what the Nazis destroyed, and, put forth ideas that would create a Eruope without wars due to nationalism.
