The painting I did of Rena Christiansen was about 48 X 54 inches. She is on a hill covered by the golden grass of late summer. She is dressed in a deep blue robe with stars in it. Stars decorate the hem. She is gazing at the rainbow colors the sun has left behind after it set. There is a crescent moon above and behind her head. Not able to get her profile correct, I called her grandmother in Grand Island Nebraska. I heard the voice of a very sweet old woman who knew who I was.
“You are the one who took care of my granddaughter when she was in California. I want to thank you. Rena is outside I will go and………Oh, she just came in. It’s Greg.”
