Humanism and the Seven Deadly Sins

Godschalk Rosemondt, Erasmus, and Bosch introduced Humanism during the Renaissance. In Bosch’s ‘Wedding Feast At Cana’ we see members of the Swan Brethren taking part is Jesus’ wedding feast he and his mother are conducting. Marriages are Human Events. A resurrected Jesus has returned to Family traditions. Ordinary men can now take part in a very social and divine event that suggests the promised Kingdom of God – has arrived. Artists can now look behind the curtain and reveal heaven and earth and moral reasoning. The Vicar of Christ who is supposed to be the only living presence of the Christ on earth, now has company. Sophia has come to the common man via a marriage feast. Man can now see the world through the eyes of God. A common man can even speak for God which is the very idea that the true evangelicals spread all over the world…
