nagel7I found two seragraphs by Patrick Nagel in a antique store and am considering buying them because Nagel was influnced by my sister’s women, and, our muse, Rena Christiansen, comes alive in his work.

After meeting Rena and staring at her, speechless, she later told me Rena reminded her of a beautiful vampiress. Rena and her boyfriend were playing at that when we met. When I visited her on the campus of the UofN, she wore a long velvet green cape with hood.

In 1973 Christine offered to teach me her style so I could be rich and famous, too. I was going to be Rosamond’s first male portrait. Someone said I looked like Vlad the Impaler. I wore a black cape with riding boots when I lived on beacon Hill in 1970. I could have been Nagel. But, I would not have found the Grail and Roman de Rou.
