As I have shown, the disciples did know it was foretold by the high priest the Messiah was coming in his lifetime, and he would sacrifice his life for the good of the Children of God, and no for the good of Roman Pagans.
When I read the New Testament at fifty years of age, I wondered why the JEWISH disciples were oblivious to the Main Mission of Jesus, which was to Die On The Cross For Our Sins. I wondered if Satan-Saul was cutting the Jews out of their own religion, again, because Paul is the inventor of anti-Semitism – and God is O.K. with this.
Paul never met Jesus, and was never a disciple. He was not converted by Jesus in a blinding light. The Jewish Disciples are depicted as cowards that ran away when they realized their Master was intent on having someone crucify him. I am sure Satan-Paul was tempted to have his Jewish disciples crucify Jesus in a more direct manner so non-Jews – who knew nothing of the Torah – can get it! Forget about getting the One God of the Jews approval.
