The Legs of Venus

When I found the photo of a tough guy trying a banner to the leg of a young woman whose face we can not see, I knew this was Belle Burch, because she had struck a pose for me at the Wandering Goat. I believe she had a bandana tied around the same leg. This photo convinced me even more that I was looking at Botticelli’s Venus come alive. Here are the two sets of legs that might have been a inspiration. But what is key, is the body-type. Belle has a classical body. Her hands are sculpted works of art – that she would not let me photograph! Why? Because her hands were in the newspaper, as were her legs. This beauty did not want to be recognized. No one likes their COVER blown. To do so – one must die!

Belle wears her mask on her sexy thigh! ‘The Rouge Badge’. This image would make a great painting, a modern version of Venus. Of course she is Homeless!  She wasn’t born of a shell to go live in a villa in Venice! She’s……all ours! She’s a true – Street Urchin – and not a highly paid Kardashian!

In this photo she has changed her facial appearance by squinting and putting on a ugly smile. But, look at that thumb! Is it any wonder I fell in love with The Mystery Woman? She is SUBROSA! Note the dogs on the wall – and the definition of Street Urchin. She is a poet! Artists can make great detectives, which gives me an idea for a new novel.

ART DECO-DER MAN

street urchin

“A young adult who hangs out on the street in a big city or near the entrance of an outdoor concert(see the French Quarter and Jazz Fest in New Orleans). Typically s/he is selling hemp or blown glass products, sports dreadlocks, and is accompanied by one or more mangy looking dogs. Sometimes s/he may also be administering home made pamphlets on topics such as the utility of hemp or communal living.

Strangely enough, urchin, pronounced “UR-chin,” comes from the 13th century French word yrichon, which means “hedgehog,” and is still used as such in parts of England today. As for people who are urchins, perhaps they got the name because at the time, they were so small, wild and many in number — like hedgehogs. The 19th century novelist Charles Dickens wrote about so many fictional urchins, most famously Oliver Twist, that dickens has become a synonym for urchin.

Here is ‘Tarp-Man’. He is now comical, and comic book, material. He would make a great Superhero!  He is archetypal of humans that wear veils. When out of nowhere a blob, a lump of blue tarp appear, Justice is soon to follow. He is a masked man. He will leave behind a silver bullet. He was the mystery man – who revealed his true identity way too soon. In a way he blue-it! I see a side kick for Tarp Man……Brown Tarp Boy!

However, there was a famous un-masking that was overlooked, the producers going back in time where the image of a impotent worm of a man doesn’t exist – yet!
