On the back of the Grateful Dead album, Aoxomoxoa, there is a photograph of a tree with people under it. Members of the Dead are here, along with members of the Olompali commune, known as ‘The Chosen Family’ are present. I will take this tree into the future. This is the Enidu tree from my science fiction novel ‘Elfine’ that I authored along with ‘The Gideon Computer’ inspired by my friends Nancy who lived with Mountain Girl’s brother on Ken Kesey’s ranch. I talked with Ken Babb’s at Nancy’s wedding about our writing. Babbs is under this tree, as is Bob Weir whom my daughter’s faux father impersonated.
