A Star Like a Sword

Simon held the upper city, and the great walls as far as Cedron, and as much of the old wall as bent from Siloam to the east, and which went down to the palace of Monobazus, who was king of the Adiabeni, beyond Euphrates; he also held the fountain, and the Acra, which was no other than the lower city; he also held all that reached to the palace of queen Helena, the mother of Monobazus; but John held the temple, and the parts thereto adjoining, for a great way, as also Ophla, and the valley called “Valley of Cedron;”

“Thus there was a star resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a comet, that continued a whole year.”

Christians have attempted to employ Joseph Flavius’ ‘War of the Jews’ to make Jesus, real. However, they did not use the account of the comet that appear over Jerusalem and the false prophet named Jesus, which means “savior” a name many false prophets took. The appearence of this comet, whose tail looked like a curved sword, would have brought out many doomsayers.

Then there was this glowig light;

“and at the ninth hour of the night, so great a light shone round the altar and the holy house, that it appeared to be bright day-time; which light lasted for half an hour .
