Several years ago I was offered land in South Carolina that was owned by the Rosamond family, and the De Mattos Mendes Da Costa family. Issac da Costa was a co-founder, if not the founder of Scottish Rite Freemasony. His kin, Josef de Mattos offered me an acre of land after he purchased sixty acres on Plantation Point – after he read my blog about the “Jews Land” in South Carolina where the Rosamond and Witherspoon family have lived for generations.
