Camo Clause Celebrates 10 Years Of Smiles and Needs Your Help.
Smiles!
Camo Clause is a community gift distribution that Scott, a.k.a. Beam Me Up Scotty who is a veteran of the Vietnam war started ten years ago. Over the past decade he has given gifts to neighborhood kids shouldering a majority of the expense himself. He has pulled thousands from his own pockets to make sure that the children of the Whiteaker and their families all get a bag of gifts for the holidays. As of late, Scotty has been battling cancer which has sent them off to a late start this year, But with community support we can make it all happen and plant smiles like seeds this holiday season.
Camo Clause meets will be meeting at The New Day Bakery at 449 Blair Blvd over several days to wrap gifts, plan shopping trips and plan distribution. Many people in the community have joined forces with Camo Clause to make this happen, and now there is an opportunity for you to be a part of it as well. Camo Clause have secured The World Cafe again as their wrapping station and will be wrapping from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM December 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. Over the next few days they will be reaching out to local business owners that have been involved in the past, but if anyone new wants a piece of the action, please feel free to contact them (below). There will also be donation jars at many local establishments for cash donations.
Their needs range from gift donations, financial, volunteers to wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, etc.
