The Republican candidates danced around the Right To Life bonfire last night, like savages, while spitting on the Right to Eat Rule that was a major concern of Jesus.
“For whosoever exalteth himself shall be babased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
12 ¶Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
Sounds like our Healthcare and Food Stamp President.
I found these words on the internet. Jesus never mentions abortion. Howver being generous with the hungry and lame will get you eternal life when the just are resurrected.
Many faith groups discuss what the Bible has to say about sexual behavior. But there are few biblical passages that reveal Jesus’ beliefs on these matters. In fact, a case can be made that he did not directly discuss sexual activity at all.
One source claims that the Christian Scriptures (New Testament) records 298 suggestions, recommendations and instructions by Jesus on how we should behave and believe. (We have not been able to verify this number.) Since he is recorded as mentioning sexual behavior only between 0 to 4 times, he obviously did not give it great emphasis. The record is totally silent about his attitudes towards the main sexually-related religious controversies of the present day: abortion, equal rights for homosexuals, same-sex marriage, masturbation, pre-marital sex, etc.
Jesus’ statements on sexuality
Jesus is recorded as having made only four direct comments that might be interpreted as relating to sexual behavior.
1. Divorce:
Matthew 5:31-32 states:
“It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.” (KJV)
